Haïti

In 1967, Father Willy Romulus requested the help of the Good Shepherd Sisters in his parish of Latibolière, located in the region of Grande-Anse. In October 1969, three sisters arrived on Haitian land, and the Congregation settled in the mornes (small mountains).

Today, the Good Shepherd Sisters strive to remain faithful to their charism of love and goodness among the poor. In the parishes of Roseaux and Carrefour-Sanon, they are in charge of primary schools and are involved in the pastoral ministry through sacramental initiation. In Jérémie, a sister nurse works in community health. Moreover, the house in Jérémie is always a place of hospitality for sisters and other travelers going to more distant places.
